Immunizations
The goal of the Calhoun County Public Health Department's Immunization program is to protect the public’s health from vaccine-preventable diseases. CCPHD offers immunizations to children and adults at both clinic locations (Battle Creek and Albion) as well as various pop up clinics throughout the county based on demand.

Vaccines Administered at Albion and Battle Creek Clinics
The above two graphs display the number of childhood and adult vaccines administered at both the Battle Creek and Albion Clinic locations. The data is grouped by quarter and shows the total number of either childhood or adults vaccines that were administered in that time frame. Childhood vaccines include the DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis), Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hib, HPV, IPV (poliomyelitis), Meningitis, MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), pneumococcal, varicella, and rotavirus vaccines. Adult vaccines include the Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hib, HPV, IPV, meningitis, MMR, pneumococcal, mpox, Tdap, varicella, and shingles vaccines. Neither total in these graphs include the COVID-19 or flu vaccine, as those have their own graphs below. Seasonally, there are peaks in the fall and winter of each year as children receive immunizations for school. The largest spike, seen in childhood vaccinations at the Battle Creek clinic during the April-June 2021 quarter, can be accounted for by catching children up on vaccines that they missed the previous year during COVID-19 shutdowns.
COVID Vaccines Administered by CCPHD
COVID Vaccines Administered by CCPHD
The graph above shows the number of COVID-19 vaccines administered by CCPHD. The large spike seen in January - March 2021 corresponds to the initial rollout of the vaccines and the efforts to get as many people vaccinated as possible. The second smaller spike seen in October - December 2021 corresponds to the vaccines being approved for children and the respective effort to provide vaccine to all those who wanted to get it.
Flu Vaccines Administered by CCPHD
Flu Vaccines Administered by CCPHD
This graph displays the number of flu vaccines administered by CCPHD during the year at the Battle Creek clinic, the Albion clinic, and any off site clinics. The number of vaccines rises during the beginning of flu season (October - December) in each year, and falls during the summer months.
Kids Up to Date
Kids Up To Date
The graph above shows the percentage of kids that are up to date on the childhood vaccine series each year. The state releases a quarterly report card with the percent of kids up to date in that quarter and then averages those numbers to get the yearly percentage. Data from before 2021 is not available for comparison due to a change in methods at MDHHS.
